This place is in Spencerport, NY and it is FANTASTIC, run by a Mexican family the father when he opened it barely spoke english but boy does he know how to cook. It is very small and gets filled in quick so the wait can be long at times but it is well worth it with everything made fresh daily, can't recommend it eough.

Glad you enjoy it but not for me. I don't like the menu or the business hours.

The hours are a bit limited. When do they serve lunch? I'm curious though, what do you find to be objectionable about their menu? pb

Hey,it sounds good to this Texas gal. Thanks for posting this. Stuff on the menu is very much like Salsalito's on Nacogdoches road in San Antonio.Lunch is probably served from 11am to 2pm since they
close at 2,and then reopen at five, which most places do.

Maybe Jimsock9 doesn't care for mexican food, but it sounds good as far as I am concerned, but don't live in New York.Say how far is this place from Piermont,NY? My sister lives in Piermont, and if not too far away, might be something she and her boyfriend could check out.

Well, I know it's just ME, but I love hard corn taco shells for beef tacos & I love beef enchiladas; plus I don't like beans at all.
So I'm kinda out of luck when it comes to real Mexican restaurants.
Like I said, it's just me.
(oh yeah....and then I need to request "no sour cream"....) Man, what's the chances of MY order being filled right!?

The menu sounds fine but I'm always more that suspicious when a "first post" is a rave about a restaurant from someone who seems to know more than the average person would.

Did you reall look at the menu. They are making everything fresh even the sausage and flour tortillas. Chicken with real Mole. I think the menu looks great and I am betting the food is excellent....Russ

The Chile Rellanos sound pretty darn good, too. A "house special" and "weekends only"; might be the real deal. I get really tired of counterfeit Chile Rellanos. pb

Pretty impressive menu for that area. It's funny how they have to list the "spicy" items.... so unlike the little holes in the wall I frequent where everything is "spicy".

Which begs the question, when did spicy replace hot? I was raised with hot denoting chile pepper heat and spicy denoting highly spiced with herbs and spices.

I'm certainly not discounting the idea that it could be great. But there are plenty of places with well written menus and mediocre food. I hope I'm wrong, and look forward to a report. I still haven't changed my mind that the initial poster is the owner or a relative/friend.

Time will tell whether or not this one is a one time posting shill performing buzz marketing for a restaurant.
