I remember mine although it was over 50 years ago. My Uncle Ed a WWII vet came home with a beautiful Italian war bride and so we went to visit and have dinner. The dinner was pizza, something unheard of before in our rural community. They lived on the third floor of an apartment, something else my four year old eyes had never seen before. My aunt was wonderful and presented before us something called a pizza pie. I remember it well. It was simple but delicious and consisted of a remarkable thin crust which had some bite to it, yet melted in your mouth. There was a very thin but rich layer of tomato sauce, topped with cheese. To this day I have not had its equal. I don't think I ever will.
