Hot Coffee Anywhere?
-
Thu, 05/8/08 8:58 AM
I need a recommendation for a coffee maker that keeps coffee HOT! I've used percolators loved the strong flavor, but after 6 months it wasn’t hot. The drips are never hot after 2 minutes. I’m not a fan of French press or boiling water and dripping it myself, although the first cup is hot the second is not. Any suggestions?

Yes, I had the same problem! Home brewers just don't brew it hot enough or keep it hot enough. Period. I got fed up and bought a BUNN VP17-1 from these people. Best price in the country and now I have great restaurant coffee at home. I also bought a Zojirushi Air Pot from the same company. http://www.dccoffeeproducts.com/ I can attest to their reputation.

I will second the Bunn. It brews at 200 degrees which is the optimal temperature for coffee extraction. It also has a 3 year warranty and they really stand behind their product. I picked mine up at K Mart for $100. The Technivorm that porkbeaks recommends is the ultimate in coffee makers but the $250 price scared me away.
