That's about 4 or 5 MILLION Turkeys!!

Yes, it is. And I always have worried about ground turkey as a food service person-nothing good comes out of making some crap into something. In no way is any altered turkey product good for you.Always more sodium, additives, etc...we are better off with ham, bologna, etc...

I've always bought the Honeysuckle White 97/3 ground turkey and the breakfast sausage - the spouse could always tell the difference and would comment that it was okay - but....not as good as the real thing.
 
Now that this has happened the spouse is very happy that there will be no more ground turkey products purchased.

How to delete posts:
In a long box along the bottom of each of my posts are the words "Mark post as helpful", "Foreward message", "Manage message" and "Edit message".  I click on "Manage message" and up comes a large square box saying "Delete this message" with a small box below it with the word  "Reason".  I type in "old" in the small box, and right below this is a little garbage can followed by the words "Send this message to recycle bin".  I click on the garbage can and close the large square box (upper right-hand corner X).  And that is it. 
 

It worked!  Now you can delete these last few and it will be good if you'd like.

According to this Associated Press story,( http://apnews.excite.com/article/20120505/D9UI8L681.html ) 14 people in 9 states have already contracted Salmonella and 67 are hospitalized just from handling one of the brands of dog food that have been recalled.  Three people each in Missouri and North Carolina; two in Ohio; and one person each in Alabama, Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia have been infected the Centers for Disease Control said.  People can get Salmonella by handling infected dog food, then not washing their hands before eating or handling their own food, health officials said.
 
The recall covers a number of pet food brands, including Canidae, Natural Balance, Apex, Kirkland, Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul, Country Value, Diamond, Diamond Naturals, Premium Edge, Wellness, Professional, 4Health and Taste of the Wild.
