Chocolate-covered bacon...anyone?
-
Sun, 08/10/08 1:15 PM
I saw an article in the NY Daily News. I found this, online... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26092641/ My initial thought was...ICK!! But, I have said that about many a combination that I ended up enjoying, in moderation. Any thoughts?

I saw it on Dinner: Impossible with Michael Symon and it looked pretty good. It was covered I believe in milk chocolate. Dennis in Cary

Cant get beyond that-while I love sweet and salty things,I just cant imagine. But with all due respect, I would try it if offered.

That sounds like something Homer Simpson would dream up.

I had a sample piece at Seattle's Pike market. It was surprisingly good. Salty, sweet, chocolate, with the underlying smokey bacon. As odd as it sounds, the flavor elements really come together. The vendor said she could barely keep any in stock.

I think it would go splendidly with my morning butterscotch/candy corn scramble.

Don't mock the bacon. You tread where Angels fear to walk.

Not mocking whatsoever. I'd eat that in an irregular heartbeat! I also tried it in Seattle - totally agree it was tasty.

I like Bacon with peanut butter. I bet if you put a piece inside a Reeses Cup it would be excellent. You heard it here first...Russ

Add chocolate to that sandwich and you've got a winner!
