Have heard about these but never had 'em. Anyone have a lead on a place that serves or a recipe?

Can't say I've ever heard of a mile high pancake. If it means that they are thick from air and fluff, I have found it happening when I make them from scratch and put the batter on the hot griddle about 5-10 minutes after mixing the batter with a wire wisk. They seem to plump right up there.
May I suggest eating about 6 or 8 of em' stacked up one on top the other, that should get you piled a mile high.
