I'm glad that other folks around the world still use crock-pots.
I've had mine since the 70's and it hasn't missed a beat.
To be honest, myself and my partner could not have survived some of the nasty winters down here in NZ, had it not been for piping hot beef or chicken (with a tonne of veges and a lovely thick sauce/gravy).
The amount of electricity they use is irrelevant, when you see the results.
The best thing you can have after a day out in the cold.
