I remember when I was young my mom used to get these boxes of Fannie May pastel sugar cream patties. They were about the size of a silver dollar and came in pink, green, and yellow. They were sugary but soft and creamy too. They may have been an Easter seasonal item but I'm not sure. Does anyone else remember these? Anyone know where I can get something similar? I don't think Fannie May has them anymore.

Sadly Fannie Mae has now been bought out when their sub=prime loan pool fell apart. No more candy or sub-prime loans anymore.

Not sure if Oneiron was fully joking, but I do believe Fannie May the candy company was bought out a few years back and it seems to me their product line shrunk a bit when that happened. I don't recall the candy you wrote about, but maybe it was a casualty of this change in ownership.

Check out this very long thread about these candies.

I found two kinds recently.

Jelly Belly makes some in their Confections line. They're a little harder and not quite creamy enough for me, but easily available on their website.

I found fresh-made ones at Daffin's in Sharon, PA. They're not on their website, but I bet if you called they would let you order them. They came in a huge variety of flavors, not just the standard peppermint.

Russel Stover used to make them, but sadly no more. They were soooo good. I will look for a recipe, and if I find one that works, I will post it.
