Western Mass Meat Up (5/17/09)

I warned Joe's about our invasion ... it was more in passing than anything else.

What is the experience of others ... at the size we seem to be (allowing for last minute attrition) I am inclined to warn both other establishments.

What is the advice of others who have spearheaded these adventures ???

Yeah good point....  I may have a couple people with me as well.  But I won't know until it gets much closer.

I have given all stops a call a week in advance, just to give them a heads-up.  Often they'll have a table(s) reserved for us, and one time, they gave us free food just for being RFers!    Chris

I just gave the "heads up" to the nice folks at Williamsburg Snack Shack.

They'll be ready.

Sping is here, they are open already for the season ... can't wait for my first meal of the season there.

I have been asked to cohost an Easter Seals Telethon on all of our NY area cable channels on the 17th of May . Time is from 3 - 8pm .

This is a big deal for me so we will be unable to attend the meetup .

Sorry to hear you won't be able to join us.

I have some unfortunate news as well.  I have a birthday party to attend in Philly that weekend.

I will try and get some Roadfooding in while I'm out there.  And I'll post reports if I can.

Sounds like a great excursion, along with a great cast of some of my favorite roadfooders.Have a blast, eat lots, enjoy, and report back-all of you!

My suggestions for food:

WILLIAMSBURG ... Lobster Roll, Fried Clams (if they have them) ... fries and sweet potato fries.

BUBS ... BBQ and they are also known for their side dish bar.

JOE'S ... Pizza (including Joe's Special), Zuppa Clams, Garlic Bread, Antipasto

HERRELL'S ... Burnt Cream with Heath Bar Smooch-in.

Sounds good, Miami Don! I'm excited!        I'll see if they could make me a "brisket and bbq chicken" combo...
I did'nt see that particular combo listed.
And I'm need some HUSH PUPPIES bad!

perhaps the "chocolate pudding" flavor , as well....
add a scoop of choc. chip,  (mind's well make it a triple scoop!)
