For the roadfooders here that live in and around the San Antonio area, do you know of any good German restaurants around here?
My sister and her boyfriend /fiance are coming for Thanksgiving, and Ross likes german food.Any places in New Braunfels besides Oma's Haus on TX Hwy 46? I know a german family took over the old Krause's Cafe in town on Castell,but can't recall the name of the place.
Any good places in SA?

Consider a ride to Fredericksburg. I'm not from Texas but I've been through there and I think this town is know for its German roots.

There was a fine place off of 410/35 on Rittiman rd, near a Wendy's, called Carla's Gasthaus (IIRC) very tasty food and service..right from the old country. Carla was German and her husband ,the cook, was retired Army.
Had many a fine meal there...
