Has anyone ever wondered what a Culvers breakfast would be like? I would love to see one try it. If they can do breakfast like they do the rest of their food that would be a huge treat.

I don't think the breakfast thing will ever happen, but I do like a Jumbo ButterBurger Bacon Delux when our nearby Cluvers opens it's drive-thru at 10:30 in the morning.

For anyplace thats as over rated as any Culvers, anywhere, I can't imagine they would know which end of the chicken to find an egg, much less cook it!

Not having heard of Culver's, I just visited their Web site?

I would welcome an option other than Wendy's for the times I need to stop at a fast service chain. The tomato on my Wendy's burger last week was more green and white than red.

We got a Culver's here in town a few months back. I was looking forward to trying their butter burger as I had heard much about it. Well my wife was in town shortly after they opened and brought one home to me and I was very disipointed! The bun was just soggy with the butter and not really toasted. The flavor of the burger was not the best. We have never went back. Maybe eating one very hot right there could be better......

Actually there is. I work at a Culver's and we serve breakfast. We have these things called Scramwiches, got breakfast platters. Actually taste really good... normal restaurant quality. I work at the Cross Plains, WI Culvers. They also have breakfast in the Mt. Horeb, WI, and Dodgeville, WI as well... those Culvers are owned by the same people as ours...

Au Contraire' my fine fellow.
While you don't have any in your area yet, (I don't think?), Jack in the Box out West here does a nice job with their Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit.
AND they serve it 24/7/365

I'd like the Mount Horeb location...with the pancakes & card game. We can play for syrup & jam...wink wink.

It is a Wisconsin-based FF chain. Nothing real special, but a cut-above the usual BK-Wendy's-McDonalds. If you are in KY, there are a couple in the Louisville area.

I definitely think Culver's is at the top of the fast-food chain list, but I'm a sucker for cheese curds...yes even FIBs can appreciate cheese curds!

I will say for chain fast-food breakfast, Hardee's is my favorite, although there's not much competition!

Evidently, in Wisconsin, familiarity does breed contempt.

We in the Metroplex appreciate our three Culver's which serve a market of 7,000,000.  Here, Culver's is a 'destination'.  Lucky for me one of the three is less than a mile away.

I believe that when you set yourself up for failure, chances are you will fail.  I don't understand why anyone buys a fast food burger to take home with them and then expects it to be anything other than an homogenous mess that has continued to cook within the take out container, especially when the burger tends to be on the juicy side to begin with.

I beg to disagree. As a fast food restaurant, Culvers towers over BK/Wendy's/McDonalds. They have an extensive menu and most items, if not all, are prepared when you order it. My only complaint is with their french fries. They are crinkle-cut, but at least they are nice and crisp.

Just another fast food breakfast disaster. Breakfast is the one meal that fast food and good are mutually exclusive.

The breakfast at our local DQ, which is not located in an area that attracts people off the interstate, is so bad that the locals fill the place from the time they open until 10:30 when they stop serving breakfast. Their gravy and biscuits are exceptional. They add sausage to the gravy, and it's not crumbles but actually sausage patties that have been chopped up. If you want eggs, they'll cook them however you want them. You'll eat off a foam plate using plastic utensils, but the food is equal to most mom & pops throughout our area.

My fast food philosophy is simple, if you go to McDonalds or some other formulaic fast food restaurant with the expectation that you're going to get something other than a stomach filler, you're running a fools errand. For me, the one exception at McDonald's is the Sausage McMuffin w/egg.  If your'e in a rush and need something to tide you over to lunch, it fits the bill quite nicely.

Hardee's is by far the the best fast food better now that they make their own buns.

My former across the street neighbor in Minnesota owned all the Hardees franchises in the upper Midwest out to Montana. He moved to Montana. I don't know if he retired or sold. The closest to where I live closed. Now there are very few and I would have to travel 30 miles to get to one. They are pretty much off my radar now.

There's a Hardees 60 miles north of me in Bucyrus and another 30 miles south in Circleville. I'm not about to make either trip just for a pretty fair biscuit.

For some reason Hardee's do not do well out of the South. Maybe because they originated in NC about 1960. They do have a pretty fair biscuit and the gravy isn't too shabby either. That's all I ever eaten there.

We have a number of Carl's Jr. a.k.a. Hardees-West here in DFW.  And most serve the Hardee's biscuits and 'sausage-rich' gravy.

But, here's my very favorite thing about this company:

My daughter worked at a Culver's while in high school. The franchise owner was making so much money I don't think it would be worth the bother to open for breakfast.

The Culvers in our area is hyper-involved in community service stuff as a benefactor of it's success as a FF outlet. Little League, School teams, Scouts, Lions/Optimist/Rotary all have plaques and photos all over the place...plus several scholarships to the HS each year. I am sure that contributes to the positive response to the place by folks around here.
I do like the Burgers and more so the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich. The FF are crinkle cut and nothing special...but the custard adds a special treat to a burger lunch, fer sure !!
In this Walleye-free area, when they have their seasonal Walleye sandwiches I do get them as the fish is outstanding !!

Where I live there are three within 20 minutes or so from my house, we only eat hardees once or twice a year, usually in the morning before vending at Wild West Days Memorial weekend.
