Bad Day at Arnold's
-
Thu, 12/4/08 5:27 PM
I took a co-worker to Arnold's today, after telling him how good the place is. What an embarrassment. She showed up before 11:00, and the country fried steak was hard, so hard I had trouble pushing a fork through it. The green beans were ok but salty, and the turnip greens were so salty they couldn't be eaten. I'm not saying I'll never go back, Arnold needs to start paying attention. I'd have been better off today had I chosen Birdseye frozen tv dinner.

WOW! That is shcoking to hear. I have only been to Arnold's the one time, but it blew me away how good it was. Sure hope this was only a one time thing. Poverty Pete, do you think they did it just to make you look bad?

Sorry 'bout that, TJ. Arnold's is commonly considered the best meat-n-three in Nashville. I'm going to be a bit more reticent in my praises in the future.

I am always wary about being at any restaurant early. I am convinced that you get food that is not quite warmed up and/or food from yesterday that they are trying to salvage.

That's right..... Wanderingjew was just there a few months ago and really liked it. That definitely makes me think this was an aberration. Still, it shouldn't happen.

Have to agree here, we always try to stay away from begining service, always make it a point to go at the end of the crowd,if possible. Sometimes have to go early and most of the time food is not up to par.

porkchopexpress- Please report back and let us know how your meal was. This thread has me a little concerned. BTW, wasn't your screenname also the name of Kurt Russell's truck in Big Trouble in Little China?

You know what Ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdkBDjtsURo Several great quotes in that movie...Russ

Poverty Pete and/or porkchopexpress- Either one of you made it back to Arnold's yet? Sorry if I am being impatient, but this report threw me off!

I don't think I would have complained in this particular situation. I'd think if you were by yourself you would have?
