I have served bacon waffles many times as a breakfast special. I do waffles as it takes away from loading up the griddle. They sell and taste great. Either way, it is a perfect combination. mark

Never tried it but bight run it at the restaurant for a breakfast special. I don't think that my waffle iron vendor would be happy if I put bacon in their irons though. Just a thought! David O.

I'd rather just have the bacon on the side, but I suppose it would be neat as a novelty food for the kids.

David O. It works very well, but even as I think about things, I bet that crumbled bacon would be the best way to go for even dispersion of that great porky flavor. Not that I have tried it (yet) but I would think that crumbled sausage would be darn excellent too. Do you make blueberry waffles with the berries in them? I have less than satisfactory results with that. I just go for fruit on top. mark

We had Hamdingers, made by Patrick Cudahy Co. in Milwaukee Co.For whatever reason, the bacon strip pancakes reminded me of those.Think spam formed into patties with bits of bacon and cheese.Served in a can in the refrigerated section.Good, but oh so bad!

Inspired by this discussion board, I made bacon pancakes this morning. I do believe I now will add these to the Favorites File!!!. I am thinking of trying one with fruit cocktail with a hat tip to Hawaiian style food....maybe spam and pinapple....?
