Dr I have cooked pizza on the grill and usually it is placed directly on a pizza stone I have heated up to 500 degrees. Just keep and eye on it and the results are really good. Dennis in Cary

Smoking the pizza gives a more authentic taste in my book. Think of all the wood fired ovens that get lauded up here and the rest is simple. Dennis in Cary

If you are thinking about using your grill for cooking pizzas, I highly recommend the 2stone: http://2stone.ning.com/ There are several models to choose from. I bought the cheapest one which just sits inside my gas grill. This is especially good if you are trying to replicate a Neopolitan-style pizza crust as the fibrament stone is great for giving off heat.

Dr of BBQ, I've owned this grilled pizza stone for about 4 weeks now and I love it! I recently had 20 people over to the house (3 bday parties in a row) and made pizzas and calzones all day long. Nothing beats wood smoked pizza, and my friends loved it. I think a few of them went out and bought one too after the party.
