buffetbuster, it's in the same city that I've been posting about recently:
http://eatingtheroad.word...009/11/09/cafe-castro/

...and actually will be coming up tomorrow but my guess is someone can get it now. It's been reviewed RF.

Being as how it combines my geekish obsessions with restaurants and TRIVIA, I say " Bring it on!!! "  But, as I don't have a clue as to posting pictures, I'm at the mercy of you fine folks.      " If you post it, they will search..."

AHI MPLS-
You are way too good!  Did you get it from the writing on the placemat or did you recognize the soup?  Probably both!

Geez AHI MPLS you are good! Maybe you can help me....I've been trying to find the exact location of this place:

...and this is all the info I have:
http://www.yelp.com/topic...ere-this-restaurant-is
http://www.yelp.com/topic...restaurant-anyone-know
http://www.yelp.com/topic...ere-this-restaurant-is
http://www.yelp.com/topic...ere-this-restaurant-is
http://www.yelp.com/topic...ere-this-restaurant-is

My biggest bet is Chronic Taco...they've got a few locations but it looks like it could be this one:
http://maps.google.com/ma...mp;cbp=12,333.04,,0,-2

I'd say that's four orders of their tortas. Here's their website:
http://www.eatchronictaco...ex.cfm?page=Locations#

...and a few more picture:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/vissago/3203502808/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/swellkh/2647592852/
http://www.flickr.com/pho...325053@N06/3840632667/

What do you think? Maybe you can do a little better a tracking it down.

By any wild chance, could it be the Kabob.a.Licious restaurant in Schaumburg, IL?
http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/d1c15/be6b7/

(I noticed the word "licious" painted on the window in the picture and Googled that word to come up with the website.)

Doubt it, they're out of business now http://www.kabobalicious.com/

and that doesn't look like something a Kabob place would serve. Plus...no palm trees:

well, gosh . This is a bit out of my league. I would say that the gentleman about to enjoy a very large, very lovely sandwich is Jemaine from FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS .... but that seems highly unlikely.

ETR-
That sign sure looks like something that would be hanging at Isaiah's, but the rule for this is it has to be either reviewed here on the site or in the Stern's books.

I'm stumped...If I had to guess:

Either Pacific Oyster in Bay City, OR or Norma's Ocean Diner in Seaside, OR.

That looks like a darn good Shrimp/Crab Louie, no? What would you call that? That Big 'Ol Pile O' Seafood Goodness?

Hmmmm....   Can't find a picture of the cinnamon cinderblock, BUT the plate and table top seem to match BLUE & WHITE in Tunica Mississippi.....  also , they use the same plates at Niecie's, but I do believe that BB gets CAKE there, so..... I think I'm stumped!!!

The visit to this place predates my doing trip reports, so this is the first time I have posted that photo.  And here is something you can use as a clue on this one and future pics:  I have yet to use a restaurant from the same state twice and won't need to for quite a while.  So if I already posted a photo in this thread from that state, you can eliminate it.
