Lao Beer
-

Just saw this and thought it's worth a post to say that I totally agree, you cannot beat Lao Beer for quality, and price in this part of the world. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/26/business/global/26beer.html?_r=1&ref=global If you can get it, well make sure you give it a try. When in Laos on business its probably the only thing I drink, I'm not normally known for having a beer at lunch, but when in Laos, its hard to pass up. But then there's the French resto's in Vien Tien and the French wines at obscene prices. A place to put on your list to visit!

I used to pick it up at Seattle's Uwajimaya asian grocery store. I have to agree, as a 17 year home brewer and beer gastronome, a very fine quality lager at a fair price considering it's quality.
