Posts Are disappearing

For some reason I'm finding that posts are disappearing. On the thread about grandparents and what special things they feed grandchildren I discovered that my response had siappeared. When I went back to check on another thread, the one about bubba barbeque, several posts had disappeared -- none of the sort that might be deemed objectionable.
 
I can't wait to see if this one shows up.

It's weird. I posted severa; in the grandparents thread, and not a single one of them showed up. Additionally, When I check the Posts Since Last Visit there are none listed since last night.
 
In fact, the latest post listed under Post Since Last Visit is from: Mon, 06/29/09 8:25 PM
 
Even more weird is the fact that in that same grandparents thread on the Today's Posts rundown there is the following:

Is it still paranoia if everyone really IS out to get you?

I know a couple of my posts were removed on a site when they became mostly off topic, which is okay.But I guess I would address this under the"post your bug and issues" to see if Stephen or any of the moderators have a reason.I am not saying delete this forum as it is a good place to discuss it, but ask them as well.

First...my van is silver, not black, and second...I am using the helicopter this week.

Not sure what was happening here. No posts were deleted in either of threads in question. I am thinking we may all be part of a dream sequence MH is having!

Sounds like a local browser problem to me. Perhaps MH needs to clear cookies and cache. Also, there were reports of problems with threads people subscribed to, though it sounds highly unlikely in this case.

Well, someone must have done something because it's working now, and I didn't make any changes.

  Happenened to me about 2 weeks ago... the Geek Squad told me to REFRESH and it worked like a charm... good luck.  

I sometimes have a prob posting and thought I solved tha prob but it's hit n miss.

I started a new thread in the Chains forum yesterday. It looked like it posted OK. When I went back to it today, it wasn't there.

Cavandre- Describe the thread please. We haven't cut anything lately. Did it get moved. I can't check it without more of a definition of topic.

That was the thread that wasn't showing up when I went to the forum. Went back & did a refreash (F5) and now it appears on my screen.

Not being a tech weinie I can't explain what is happening.  I suggest patience and all seems to show up eventually !!

I'm thinking sun spots or gremlins.

Just know you are not alone. Several people have had this same issue of late. Not sure why yet, but we will!

Michael Hoffman reports that his wireless Jitterbug telephone also appears to be on the fritz as it emits some sort of ringing sound when people attempt to call him.

I wonder what the % of answers that Geek Squad gives is either REFRESH or RESTART and that solves the problem. It has GOT to be a high %.

  A Jitterbug Phone (info from their TV commercials) is a cell-phone with a large keyboard (for old-peoples poor eyes and indelicate finger poking) and very basic communications connections...meaning it doesn't have a camera or internet capability or other uses other than talking on the phone.
