He wasn't eating Road food, it was RAT food, Good God, did you see the way he looked? I think someone slipped him a BAD curried lamb ball for breakfast.

I, for one don't give a darn what is going on at the GOLDEN ARCHES.........while driving by one and seeing all those "good mommy's" taking their kids there for lunch, I feel sick! What a way to train your children to appreciate real food!

You know, it is not easy to avoid McDonalds. Everytime I had my grandkids, I want to tke them out and I have to find a place they like. It ain't easy cause you cannot make them like what you like. You can take a horse to water but you can't make him drink. I tried to take them to other places, but kids learn. They want to be entertained and I have learned that you cannot make them eat. My oldest grandson is three and I have taken him places where he refused to eat.

Do I let the little sucker starve? I give in and take him to a place where I can get him to eat and I actually get in the McDonalds play area with him. It ain't easy at my age climbing in those arthitis aching contortions.

He enjoys their chicken Mcnuggets, fish sandwiches, cheeseburgers and a milk shake. I know it ain't the best, but I gotta do what I gotta do.

Who givesaddam what he eats! From what I hear, though, he's one of the few people[sic] who loves receiving SPAM. Obviously, he is impervious to torture. Maybe we should send him to McDonalds to get burgers for Cheney, with extra special sauce, and then close the counter just as he gets there. This could go on forever _-- Saddamm McDamned.

I think I had a Diet Coke once........back in 1974.......last time I let my little behind wander into McD's. Sheesh.....they call that.....food????
Everybody says, "OHHHHH but their fries are SOOOOOOOOO good!" Bull! The best fries I ever ate were the hand-cut ones fried twice in a combo of lard and oil at my neighbor's house (not just one neighbor, but several) in the North of France.
Gonna call THAT thing a hamburger? Really? You're kidding. Gonna call that fried FISH? What? THAT IS CHICKEN? Now you're making fun of me.
While I do appreciate their cleanliness I probably have spent less than $10 over the past thirty years in McD's. Sometimes one just has to splurge for a Diet Coke...........

Hats off to lleechef -- and boo on me for daring to talk on this thread. As much as I loved McD as a teen, I have not had anything, not even a tinkle, at a McD in at least 15 years.

Paul,

The answer to that is yep. Any doctor worth his or her salt will tell you the kid will eat when he gets hungry enough. As it is, you are giving in to emotional blackmail, being performed by a very wise 3 year old!! True there may be a couple of temper tantrums to put up with but he will eventually understand that it is you that's the boss not him.

Donatos made a tasty pizza... Thin crust and well, just plain thin.. Tasted really good, but you could eat a large by your lonesome and still be thinking MORE! But here in Michigan, atleast West Michigan they closed them down (to better their profits in the long run or some deal like that).. As for McDonalds... YUK... We have a couple 2 or 3 small burger chains that cost under 1/2 of what they charge with food tasting 500% better!!! "Get em n go" comes to mind! (Real sliced onions on a 59 cent burger is a good start for me)... There's my 2 cents worth! Oh, as for Saddam, Chicken in a pit?

Toad in the hole! Clothier, you're killing me!

I went into the McDonald's next to my pharmacy today to buy a soda and Happy Meal toy (They have Haunted Mansion toys right now that I think are really cool). Anyways, it was about 3 o'clock and the place was CRAWLING with high school and junior high kids. Didn't these kids eat lunch at noon? Aren't their parents feeding them in 3 hours? Maybe I'm not one to bemoan childhood obesity, but at least my fat was well-earned with decent food.

Grampy, there are times that you're fed up just fed up with the outhouses, tinkling behind trees out in the Bush and you're happy to see a Williams Express, Tesoro (gas stations) or McD's just so you can wash your hands with WARM WATER! THAT'S THE ONLY THING McD's IS GOOD FER!!!

Elise - I have three teens and my house is always crawling with assorted other teens studying, playing basketball etc...

It is ALWAYS time to eat. I am usually asked "Whats for dinner" at breakfast time. My son brought some of his football buddies over one evening this week and I asked "Do you boys want to eat?" and this huge, hulking kid replied "Ma'am, I don't think you should ask us that."

My three are lean, mean machines (thank goodness for sports!), but you would not believe the amount of food they eat." />

And the idea of a egg mcmuffin? Genius, I tell you, genius. And the hash browns? Don't get me started, Norton, don't get me started.

Oops. I wasn't referring to you dendan. Clothier just seemed on a rant (kind of like that scene in Animal House when Bluto is raging about the "Germans bombing Pearl Harbor") and I simply wanted to fan the flames.

My Most Memorable Breakfast -- EVER,
4 Egg McMuffins, first ones off the grill early in the morning (6am) so they were a bit runnie... A six-pack of Little King's Ale (warm) fresh off the supermarket shelf. Now there's a breakfast that really opened up the sunshine in the day... We had that specific menu on a one Egg sandwich for each Little King's ratio while driving to Southern Ohio. Then they opened the Gates at Kings Island, the theme park near Cincinnati...
Needless to say on the second round of one of the looping coasters the breakfast fit for Kings was donated to the Landscaping section of the Park. Thanks for nothing , Ronald.

The coaster was the "Bat" the first suspended coaster in the USA (1981). It was later dismantled and sold to 6 Flags. The last word I had is that it was at 6 Flags-Magic Mountain near L A and was labeled "NINJA"
