Heading to NW Arkansas Saturday with family and will need a break early afternoon south of KC along or near US-71.  Any suggestions welcome.
 
While I'm at it, any NW Arkansas favorites?

One of our faves in NW Arkansas is the incredible AQ Chicken House, with restaurants in both in Springdale and Fayetteville. Although they have other things on the menu (see the link above), the stars of the show are their fantastic pan-fried chicken and the amazing charbroiled "over the coals" chicken.

A reasonable distance from US-71 in Belton (just south of KC) is the excellent Snead's BBQ.

Doe's Eat Place in Bentonville serves huge portions of very tasty food.  Steaks are huge and expensive, but still worthwhile.  The non-steak dinners are more normal sized.  All of the food was very enjoyable.
