Help with Misquamicut, RI eats Sun, 07/26/09 8:26 AM (permalink)
Hey everybody! I'm going to the beach this week and I'm looking for a couple good eats along the way. I do have a 1 1/2 year old and he is a beast. Also my wife is 7 months prego so she will eat anything which I have to capitalize on because she usually   doesn't go from the roadfood. Any good corned beef hash places?, she loves corned beef hash. Thanks in adavnce and I will report back next week.

there was a WD Codys steakhouse on Rt 1
its been afew years since I've been there but used to go every summer.
there was a great place for prime rib on the south side of RT 1 just north of Missquamicut in a big old white house. sorry I don't remember the name. ask anyone they should know it.
in Pawkatuck theres a couple sports bars that are kid friendly.
for seafood on 1A or the beach road theres a good place just  north at a corner that goes out to Rt 1
take a ride to Point Judith for more great seafood.
if you're adventurous go to Nordic Lodge for the seafood buffet.
sorry about the vaugness of the names, its been a few years
have a good time & please report back.

Not sure how you are driving there, but if Mystic is along your flight path, check this place out..

        Darn good hash!

Only issue is the place is SMALL, so not sure if that will be a problem with the youngster. My kids were there at that age, but I had them trained to sit and stay by then.
