Biker Jim in Maxim Magazine - Wed, 08/5/09 10:29 PM

Not to toot my old horn too loudly, but Maxim named us in their 2009 Maxim Food Awards.  Best Meals on Wheels!  Awesome.  I'm in the same article as everyone from Hot Dougs in Chicago (a hero of mine) to the Kogi Taco Truck in L.A.(absolutely the best use of the internet for tracking a business) to The French Laundry to Nathans.  Although I can't find the article online it is in the August issue.  Not minding a bit of national press I tell you what.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kudos.  Like I said it was really cool being in an article with a bunch of my heroes.  Yah Mark, I'm your hero...dude I need to get one of them diplomas of yours before I become anyone's hero.  Might be a little while before I can get to Chicago.  We've got cart number 2 running full time and are pretty close to getting a hot dog/waffle restaurant open.  Doesn't look like too much time off for a while.  That and the fact we just took a week off to go hot spring hopping in Colorado.  Starting back with a 3 day Dead Head concert (Leftover Salmon, Dark Star Orchestra, String Cheese Incident) those sort of bands, should be a fun weekend.  And yeah, the Obama Lamb a Ding Dong was not just a good idea, it was a really good dog...I almost forgot about that!
Thanks again guys.
Jim

Clearly I need to pick up the new edition of Maxim.  For the article of course.
