I remember once staying at the Hyatt in downtown Houston.
Nice lobby bar. I sat down and ordered a Stoli and the poor bartender gets out this small thimble and awkwardly dribbles a minuscule amount of liquor into my glass, charges a fortune. Over to the side, I noticed a young guy in a suit with a Hyatt name tag (clearly the bar manager) beaming with pride.
I finished and went to the bar/restaurant across the street. Had to stand in the bar area because it was so full ... had some decent (affordable) drinks and even ordered some food. I gt to talking with other patrons ands we were almost all from the Hyatt.
Meanwhile, across the street, I'm sure the Hyatt bar manager brags to his boss how low the liquor cost is under his watch.
I DON'T GET IT !!!
