Stavros Pizza Daytona Beach, FL

Being from central Connecticut, I grew up on Greek pizza. I have tried all the pizza joints in New Haven. To me they're alright, but my favorite is Greek.
The best Greek in Daytona is the original Stavros on Beach Street and Orange Ave.  There are 4 in the area, but the original is on Beach Street and is the BEST!
We love extra cheese, and that is the only way to get a real taste of the pizza. But we've had it with other toppings before and it was still good.  Although our favorite is just extra cheese.
So for all you Greek pizza lovers, you have to try this place if you come down here.  They are always consistent.
Oh, by the way, 8:15 PM 70-degrees!!!!

Well Italian is Italian and probably shouldn't have to be explained but Greek is typically cooked in a pan rather than directly on the pizza oven stones making the crust a bit thicker and chewier....like seen in the photo above.

I find the end result to be cake-ier ... a good Greek pie is good, yet hard to find ... I prefer it by far to an inane pseudo-Italian pie.

    Hey Bob,

Going to be there next weekend for my son's birthday.  Does Stavros serve beer?  And which location is closest to the beach, although driving isn't a problem.  Went to the one YEARS ago in New Symrna and enjoyed it.
    Thanks!

    yes, Stavros does serve beer.
there is one on A1A but DON'T go to that one. the BEST one is on the corner of Beach st & Orange ave. on the mainland.
Orange ave starts as Silver Beach from A1A & turns into Orange ave. when you cross the river.
PM me & I'll give you my number if you need any help.

    Hey Bob,

From where we're staying looks like we need to go a bit south to Silver Beach and go over.  I'm somewhat familiar with the area having a Grandmother living in Port Orange most of her life, still have relatives in New Smyrna.  Thanks for responding.  Now if only it were Friday........

if you're staying north of ISB., take International Speedway Blvd. over the bridge, take a left on Beach St., go to the 2nd light & its right there on the corner of Beach St. & Orange ave.
    ENJOY!

It was incredible!  My BF and I ordered our own and let the 3 kids order their own individuals, they each wanted something different.  It took some time but we enjoyed sitting around BS'ing.  I would go again in a second. There was a ball game taking place across the street that we thought we might take in but both the boys play ball and didn't want to partake so back to the beach we went. Next time we come over I'll be sure to let you know.  We wanted to do Brickyard as well but I guess I got my restaurant name confused.  We went all the way down International to the interstate where we stopped and asked and were told that "Brickyard Burger" has closed.  I told my BF if that were the case I would surely know from RF.  Should we have been looking for "Brickyard Bar and Lounge"(?)  We ended up at that other Nascar themed place("Crusin' Cafe"(?) that wasn't very good.
Don't EVER stay at "Ocean Sands" RF'ers, it was a step away from horrible.

Yes, it's the Brickyard Lounge, or Bar and Grill.  I just called and they are still in business.

Well c-rap.  We're just in Gainesville so we will try to get another trip in soon.

Thanks for clarifying!  That's what I get for not confirming and "assuming" I knew where I was talking about.

which one on Nova Rd. did you go to?
the one in Port Orange or the one in Ormond Beach.
the Beach St. one is the best out of all 4 locations. the pizza in the pictures is from Beach St.
