Just returned from my first trip to Myrtle Beach. Before we left I searched this forum for recommendations, and here are some of the recommended places that we visited:
Hamburger Heaven, Cherry Grove, SC. Best of the best! Outstanding handmade hamburgers and hand cut fries. We have decided to make it a family tradition on subsequent trips to Myrtle Beach.
Hoskins in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Really good sausage gravy and nice, airy biscuits, a breakfast worth getting up early for. The coffee was disappointing, however. Perhaps because it is iced tea territory, I don't know, but everything else was quite good.
Golden Griddle, also in north Myrtle Beach, SC. Yum. Real homefries done on the griddle, the fluffiest of pancakes, excellent sausages. Another restaurant that will become a family tradition.
Painter's Ice Cream, Myrtle Beach, SC. All flavors made on the premises with fresh ingredients. My family had banana pudding ice cream and loved it. I had Heath Bar Crunch, and like it too much to share with the others, who all wanted tastes. Painter's will DEFINITELY get return visits from us.
