My personal favorites, while not in Myrtle Beach Proper, are Sara J's in Garden city and Nance's in Murrell's Inlet. There are several excellent places in Calabash if you want to head north a bit over the NC border. IMHO ... I'd recommend you stay away from any place that offers a All-u-can-eat Seafood Buffet.

Calabash just across the line in NC has a number of good seafood restaraunts all of which are fomous for Calabash style which is fried. None are distinguished in my opinion. We like Bimini's in MB and Rockafella's in NMB. Also, Crab Catcher's in NMB get's good reviews. For a great resource for all MB restaraunts visit . The golfer's there review reteraunts constantly. My favorite reteraunt of all in the area is Frank's Outback in Pawley's Island (south of MB). I'm sure their seafood is superb but we go for little plates. Awesome!

I also suggest Sara-J's in Garden City. There are a number of seafood resturants in Murrell's Inlet that are decent, but not as good as Sara-J's.

Calabash Seafood Hut in Calabash for fried seafood. Recommend the Flamingo in Myrtle Beach for grilled seafood (even have wahoo and grouper). It's on Hwy 17 Bus. South.

I can't post the link, but if you add "www."myrtlebeachscrestaurants".com" you'll find a whole list of Grand Strand eateries. Lots of good reviews. I recommend Sara J's also. However, get there early, or prepare to wait.
