I lived in Scottsdale for 4 years, FBM. I never felt so dead while still alive. Soul sucked right out of me.
Sounds like a "You Problem"!
What years were you here and when was the last time you were here. MUCH has changed since I've been in the Valley (since 2000). Prior, I've been traveling out here since 1972!
Everything you stated as positive about Gilbert, and the whole Valley, I see as a negative.
Planned growing communities do not necessarily produce the best cultural experience.
Or food. Wonder why the Sterns seem to prefer old school Tucson to new Razzle Dazzle Phoenix?
Are you sure you can Speak to what the Sterns are thinking? I'd rather hear it from them IF
in case that's what they're thinking! I too have noticed that the Sterns have done more write ups on Tucson than Phoenix. Curious minds are anxious to hear FROM THEM
why that is! Many others have done more write ups on Phoenix, than Tucson so I think if you added it all up, there are more entries for Phoenix than Tucson.
DEPTH???? There is 10 times more depth in Roadfood establishments in the Valley of the Sun.
As far as the DEPTH of Roadfood in Tucson is concerned, when you get past Sonoran Hot Dog places and other Mexican Places, there's not much beyond that. There are some Sonoran Hot Dog places in the Phoenix area and many more Mexican food places than Tucson. In addition there is a much larger variety of non-Mexican Roadfood places in the PHX area. Your dislike and perception of your experience here seems to be clouding your thnking.
