Chi-Chi's suprema sauce recipe
-
Sun, 07/18/10 12:11 PM
I know there are some people here that worked at Chi-Chi's and was just wondering.... I've looked for the recipe for the suprema sauce, that was used on the chicken suprema enchiladas, for years now. I think it had sour cream in it, but not sure what else. Can someone help me with this? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Perhaps you should check in the Recipes & Cooking Techniques forum when you are looking for recipes.

Welcome uejru! I did indeed cook & waitress at Chi-chi's (Shhh!) The Suprema sauce was supposed to be a " Delicious mild green chile & sour cream sauce" by 1990 it was coming in powdered form that we added sour cream, buttermilk, and freeze-dried chives to and whipped it up into a creamy delight. I loved both the Suprema, & the Cancun/seafood sauces as chip dips. Sorry I don't have an actual recipe but it's very similar to a green chile-cheese dip only thinned out a bit... Good luck.
