There isn't a particularly cohesive dip recipe thread here on Road Food so I figured now would be a nice time to start one:)

The marketing company I work for is doing a campaign for Dean's Dip's pretzel dip, and while I was browsing their website, I decided to check out the recipe section.

In this section, I noticed Artichoke & Spinach Dip recipe that I thought would be cool to try out. Me and the wife were going to do a Doctor Who marathon and I thought it would be cool to have some slightly out of the ordinary snacks to go with the series, so this recipe seemed like a gem.

It actually is pretty easy:

Ingredients:
10 ounces frozen chopped spinach
1 (14-ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained
8 ounces cream cheese, cut into cubes
1 (12-ounce) tub Dean’s Cheddar Cheese Pretzel Dip
Choice of pretzels, toasted baguette slices, vegetables, pita chips, crackers, bagel chips or tortilla chips for dipping

It makes quite a lot and it was fun watching the series whilst having a good snack to go with it that night:)

What kind of dip recipes do you guys know?  The more out of the ordinary the better:)

Not a dip, but a spread....

1 "log" of Jones Braunschweiger
1 "brick" of cream cheese (not low fat)
1/4 cup finely diced white onions
1 Tbsp Lawry's seasoned salt

Chop up braunschweiger, add softened cream cheese, add onions, add Lawry's.  Beat with hand mixer until smooth.  Serve spread on Club crackers or saltines or dip hard breadsticks into it and enjoy!

Another one...not a dip, but an awesome open faced snack:

2 slices white bread
2 tsp creamy gooey peanut butter
2 tsp Owl's Nest spreadable cheddar cheese (mild)
2 tsp Dean's french onion dip

Toast bread, spread with peanut butter, then chesse, then french onion dip.  Yum.

Would it be just as good if I used a different pretzel dip other than Dean's Cheddar Cheese Pretzel Dip ©?

(Your only other post, also pumping the indescribably delicious Dean's products, is here.)

Sorry, but shilling is a particularly sensitive subject around these parts.

The liver spread is especially lip smacking tasty.  A few of the guys I work with can't get enough of the spread.  I usually share it with everyone at holiday office parties.

This has been my go-to veggie dip for years.  Always rave reviews:
 Beau Monde Dip

1C mayo
1C sour cream
2 t dill
2 T dried parsley
3 T dried minced onion
3 t beau monde(Spice Islands brand).

Mix all, refrigerate at least 4 hours for flavors to develop.

I was waiting to see if it is OK to post here.

Since tha Chewer posted I guess it's OK.

I bought some WM Great Value French Onion Dip (hey... it was a buck) but it was way to thick. I had a bottle of Claussen Pickles w/ no pickles left. I poured the Claussen juice into the onion dip and Wyhalia (is that a word?). It made a good French Onion Dill Dip!

I never waste a drop of Claussen pickle juice. It's good right from tha jar. I also use it to make a drink w/ V8 and who knows what else I might add???

Sounds like a little Vodka and Tabasco sauce would compliment it.

Baileys, you guessed it :~) except I usually use Louisianna Hot Sauce.

Jenn, because of a recent thread here I must ask... are those steamed BABY carrots? Oh, and I love that Bean and Bacon soup!... so that dip sounds great!

I am becoming a big fan of Sriracha, I think I'll have to try this myself, just will have to be semi-armed with the Tums:)

ALLGOOD:  Wow, that recipe sounds good.  I'll have to make a batch to spread on my Westminster crackers.  For the lack of a better name, I'll call it Allgood Spread.
