I miss them all. Including the only one I've ever heard of.

This appears to be a meaningless poll for most Roadfooders. I doublt that 90 percent of us have even heard of these places so what can we mourn. Fill us in.

Fortunately I only know a couple of the places - Doidges and The Berghoff. Too tough a choice. But I settled on Doidges because, while open, it was my favorite breakfast place anywhere.

There is still a "The Berghoff." I don't remember the whole story, but was something like they closed down temporarily to ditch the union, then reopened. I used to live by Doidges, but they were best known for omelets, and I hate eggs. Too bad about Belle Meade, I'm going to be by there next week. The only other one that rings a bell is Uglesich's which was a Roadfood favorite I never made it to. Why is everything double spaced?
