Harry's of Colchester
-
Mon, 09/27/10 5:51 PM
The last few times we've visited Harry's, I've been a little disappointed to see that they are pre-cooking their burgers and setting them aside on a grid over the griddle corner for future orders rather than griddling them from the go upon order. When this has been observed, I didn't think the burgers were up to snuff. Still, Harry's is a great burger!

Actually, my wife who didn't see it and with whom I hadn't shared my observation yet, first noticed the burger didn't seem up to par. Sorry.

Wow - haven't seen that ever, and I always like to take a peek at the grill after we order. Just went again a week or so ago and enjoyed same high quality as always.

The two times I went this summer, all of the burgers were being cooked fresh.

man I miss Harry's. last time I was there 3 1/2 yrs. ago they were always made fresh as they always were. fried onions on them also. the hot dogs & frozen crinkle cut fries were great too. the ONLY thing I miss about Connecticut is the food & old friends. have fun this winter y'all!
