For those who prefer a thin crust pie over the Chicago stuffed pizza, Rosati's (lots of locations all over the area) makes an excellent pizza. They are generous with the cheese and toppings, and the price is reasonable.

In addition to Rosati's , Jakes Pizza makes an excellent thin crust. Also, last night I had a thin crust (hot giardinera and chicken) Nancy's pizza that in many ways rivaled their stuffed pizza.

I'm partial to a little joint called Piero's 2 blocks away from us in Highland Park. Just a storefront. They make an excellent thin crust, and good thick style as well. If you ask for the thin to be "extra well done," the crust comes nice and crunchy. Once I start eating this stuff, I can't stop. I think there's one in another suburb, as well, but it's not a chain.

I second the opinion of Piero's.

There is a place on Belmont in Downers Grove, just south of the tracks called Skudelbutts (sp?) that has a fantasic thin crust. They don't deliver but they do have a nifty pick-up window on the side of the building. Plus, you always get two pizzas! Kind of like Little Caesars used to do...but the pizza is actually good.
