I had a craving the other day for Fried Green Tomatoes. Ran into Publix's and got 3 green tomatoes, washed and sliced them and soaked them in buttermilk for a few hours. Coated them w/flour, dipped each slice in whipped up eggs, and then coated them in cornmeal. Fried to a crispy perfection. Boy were they good - got my FGT fix until the next time!
