Last night?  You really want to know?

Sharon was given a $25 gift card for Home Town Buffet which she's been holding on to, not really wanting to use it.

My mother likes the place so we took her there.

What can I say?  We had a good meal... this time.

We were surprised.

I have YET to have a bad meal at HTB  Every night they feature different items!  You just have to go a few different times to see what's on the menu!

Mar, thats Sharons luck, the first time the food is good she gives the gift card away. I think she may be dreaming about the Texas BBQ from the trip you both took a few weeks past...........Tell Sharon we said hello................Bill

Thanks, Bill... I will.

They happened to bring out a freshly grilled steak when we were standing at that station, looking at the food.  It was done as well as I could do.

I also love the carrot, pineapple and raisin salad.  I leave most of the raisins on the plate and I'm too lazy to make it at home.

I was disappointed that they didn't have the enchiladas last night, the only thing that I used to like there.

So...   I went out and got some.  Didn't feel like eating out or cooking.

The biggest problem was where to get them.  I chose the closest place with the best parking.

Tonight - surf and turf. Grilled ribeye, grilled jumbo shrimp skewers basted in garlic rosemary butter and Caesar salad. Oh yeah, starting with lobster bisque.

Sounds delicious!!

It has been a hundred years since I've had time to cook. And yes, I am aware that it is St. Patrick's Day and I should have made corned beef and cabbage. I did buy a corned beef brisket, but I tossed it in the fridge...I went back to work for real this weekend finally, and even though I'm not doing a full schedule yet, I am one tired woman.

So, tonight when I got home I made shrimp and crab au gratin, and served it with steamed frozen peas and cottage cheese. Never even occurred to me to do the corned beef in the crock pot while I was at work, so I didn't buy any of the vegetables.

Looks good, Felix!

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day I had a sesame bagel with cream cheese, onion and O'Lox.

I may have to have another at 8PM.

Last night I went to the Staten Island Mall with my (if I get a vote) future DIL.

I was in the mood for Arthur Treacher's...

Tracy asked how many WW points were the fish & chips. Good question. I didn't know. So I looked it up.....oooooh 38 points. NOOOOOO.

Hushpuppy Alert!

Those little suckers are 6 points EACH!

They also sell in containers of 15!

One piece of fish is only 10 points!

I'm sticking to polenta.

Yowza--I didn't even SEE those hush puppies.  Carbs killl the points--WW doesn't even care about calories anymore...

I didn't even realize Arthur Treacher's was still in business, either.

That plate is 43 PointsPlus points!

The big box of those little devils are a total of 107 PointsPlus points (87 for me). I believe that is the single largest point total of a menu item in the history...of counting!

I used my bonus points for accounting. So no donuts are candy for me...through Saturday.

Thank you Arthur Treacher.

Stopped by Moody Meats today and got some good ground sirloin. Feel like a Hamburger Steak, with mushroom gravy, fresh cut fries and the last of last years frozen corn.

I have words to describe soft boiled eggs but will refrain!

You should try some of this IF you can ever find it!  The only place I have ever seen it for sale at is the Cheese Shop located 1/2 block from the beach in La Jolla.
