That is, the "real sugar" kind.

When I read the title of the discussion I began to worry.

I love the old style thick glass boittles.   I drink diet soda, and there is a Mexican "Coke Light" or "Coca-Cola Light" that tastes great out of the old bottles for us diet drinkers.  In Mexico, they just use the word "Light" instead of Diet.

Does anyone know who sells Mexican "Coke Light"?  I have found it in Fresh Market, which is an expensive specialty store. They charge something like $2 each bottle.  I'd like to get a case of it somewhere cheaper.  Costco has the cases of Mexican Coke, but not the Mexican Coke Light.

Any ideas where to get Mexican Coke Light by the case?

Thanks!

Glenn

Coca-Cola bottled in Mexico using pure sugar rather than corn syrup is available all over Dallas. But, we can't get a decent hot dog to eat with it. Tacos? Yes! Hot dogs? No!

It's funny but even though we have a very large Hispanic population in my area I haven't been able to find this. I asked the Coke and the Pepsi guys working in the markets and none knew what I was talking about.

Personally, I drink "diet" sodas but I thought people might like to know about this because in the past there have been threads about where to get the "real sugar" stuff.

As I mentioned above, I also drink "diet".   Even thought they don't have the real sugar in them, if you're someone who is accustomed to diet drinks, those Mexican "Coke Lights" (Diet Cokes) taste great out of the old style Coke bottles.  ... But, very hard to find.

And in case anyone who lives within decent driving distance of Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton PA and Phillipsburg, NJ is interested, Lehigh Valley Coca Cola Bottling Co, is the only US CC bottler that still makes Coke with good old fashioned sugar and not HFCS!

I would look at the Hispanic Grocery Store. It will be right next to the Jarritos sodas, which are also made with sugar.

What type of sweetener do they use in Mexico in the Coke Light??
