Back to the topic, The Saturday Schedule looks like a real good time, and for those of you coming to Nashville early, please keep a record of the stops you make. They will help make the whole weekend a fine memory to report.  We will do a final count early in February for the Loveless dinner.

I fly to New Orleans on Tuesday morning,  February 7 (I'm hoping to avoid any blizzards on the way down - including the layover in Baltimore-but considering my luck with weather, anything is possible) 
 
I will be leaving New Orleans on Friday afternoon, February 10 and will be flying into Birmingham Al. From there I will spend the next few days in Mississippi, stopping  in Memphis for most of Monday February 13   Tuesday February 14 before heading to the Ozarks of Arkanas from where I will make my way back to Little Rock and drive to Nashville on Friday February 17.

OK  Priceline put Janet and I in the BestWestern Downtown at 711 Union St for $55. I think we are close to the Maxwell house, but not in it.  Will consider a nightcap close to the hotel Saturday night.

WJ--and all the rest of the glee club--believe me--i would LOVE to meet up with all of you--esp THIS YR--this is an amazing crew and getting a chance to meet Lleechef  and Bushie and the LEGENDARY Mr Hoffman!!!!!!--would be fabulous--but to tell the truth--what with my medical hassles--and the COSTS!!! and the fact that i havent seen my Family in New England in wwwaaayyy too long and this year we are saving to get there in the fall--well--it just isn't in the budget. I truly wish it where possible--but i just cant swing it without using the credit card and the bills are high enough as is and spending credit just because you can--well--not the brightest idea. But we will be driving to New England and i would LOVE to meet up again with ANY Roadfooder!! Planning the drive around the food stops---so--anyone want to meet up in Conn for pizza in Sept!!!???
 I hope --no--i KNOW that you will all have an amazing time and i expect LOTS of photos!!!!!!!  God bless the whole bunch of you and God help Memphis!!!! :)

 Any chance that the tap room you took me to last time will be open Friday afternoon?

Patterson House is near the roundabout on Music Row.  Michael, you HAVE to see this bar.  I'm going to have a Benton's bacon-infused Old Fashioned.  WJ, that tap room has relocated, but will definitely be ready for our business on Friday.

OK. lleechef and I will try to find it. After all, I have no objections to the occasional adult beverage. And, being in Tennessee, home of Jack Daniels -- my drink since the 1950s -- I'm sure there'll be something I can swallow. Besides, she can't wait to finally meet you and Bushie.

What time is the meet-up for this.  If it is early enpgh, it sounds  like g great time!

The bar opens at 5:00 p.m.  Don't be late, or you'll be left out in the cold.  Oh my, this is going to be fun!

Wish we could be there Friday, but we will make the best of the rest of the weekend. I will bring a 'special' bottle of Scotch to the Loveless and will offer to share a toast sometime during the evening for our special RoadFood Companion and Chaplain, Rick Flinn. I don't want to dampen the atmosphere of the evening, but sharing a few memories of our friend , I think, would be a nice thing to do.
