That bench was probably 125 degrees...and that duck looks like it was going on & on about something.

A Kit Kat! That sounds good because the calzone was not the best idea today.

Maybe a frozen Milky Way will work.

Good call, Mar.

Lunch was an Italian sausage w/peppers and onions at the ballpark.  I love them!

I did a simple grilled chicken leg quarter today.  Seasoned it with some salt & pepper, grilled it over medium direct heat, and glazed it with some barbecue sauce for the last 10 minutes.  Reminded me very much of the chicken that came off my dad's grill 40 years ago.

Ny NJ sista had fun with what's for Lunch when we were both in Cali. She's back in Cali until I get drafted again and she sent me her Nachos for Lunch today...

Thank you very much as I gasp for air...with that blue cheese.

She just took a picture with my new camera.

Chicken salad on Amish cheddar pretzel bread. You can't see the garlic dill pickles inside (also from the farmer's market), but whatever.

It's raining today so Willy & I decided to make a tray of ziti. We came ever-so-close- to having a frosted cupcake vodka sauce...because my sister stocks so many varieties of foo foo vodka...

Lunch today was at a downtown Columbus restaurant called Phillip's Coney island. We each had a bowl of their fabulous bean soup, and lleechef had one coney while I had two of them.

For real!

Not having hot dog buns is a misdemeanor in NJ. But that looks delicious...so you just get a warning.

...and foo foo vodka if it happens again.

Whew, CC--thanks for the reprieve!!

Lunch today was from the counter at my favorite fancypants grocery store, Draeger's.

About twice a year I'll splurge on their marinated tri-tip and asparagus polenta, which undoubtedly has cream in it.

You and polenta really know how to treat yourselves right!

Mmmm...these mashed potatoes from Draeger's sound like a treat...

Olive Mashed Potatoes : Serves 3
A wonderful side dish made with russett potatoes, mascarpone cheese, chives, nicoise olives, extra virgin olive oil and spices.

* Won't serve 3 if 1 included me.. Grrrrrrrrr. Get your own damn potatoes.

Hahahahaa!!  You're in trouble!!!  You'd better pull your curtains closed and turn out the lights before the NJ hot dog police try to haul you in.  Fortunately, that's a GREAT picture, so they might let you off easy.

I might need a little help with my * from an undisclosed location ice cream flavor.

Not too many hints. Don't go gettin' me killed.

Great lunch yesterday at the Yellow House Hotel out in the middle of the Oley Valley of PA. Some of the best snapper soup I've had for years and an open faced grilled ham, cheese, tomato and bacon sandwich. It was too dark inside the bar area where we ate for photos of the food but but I took this one outside the building. Yes, the sign says 1801 when it was built at a stagecoach stop, like many of the old hotels/taverns/restaurants in rural PA.

Frozen snickers are better.

The frozen milky way,  the frozen caramel is impossible to break or chew but a snickers shatters easier.

What is the brown sauce over the dog.  I cannot say it looks bad but it is confusing.

If you're asking about the dog I posted earlier with the English muffin, it was some chili sauce I made--not chili you'd have in a bowl, but stuff to put on a dog.  Or eggs.  Or whatever.

I agree CK. Snickers have good shatter appeal.

I have a frozen candy bar every Friday or Saturday. A few weeks ago it was supposed to be a Snickers...and it was a Snickers Dark.

I didn't realize it until after the shatter and it wouldn't register as Snickers until the end of the bar.
