fatdoc There was an Italian place in Gatlinburg that I ate at several years ago that had decent food. I cannot remember the name but it is in the strip mall with the grocery store.
Best Italian, which has really good pizza. They moved from the rear of the mall to a space directly along the Parkway (IOW, right in front of the same mall.)
The Smokey Mountain Brewery is a can't-miss choice for food.
The Old Mill is quite a bit better than Cracker Barrel, IMO. However, it's kind of a mass production factory. Their Pottery Cafe across the street is an excellent lunch stop and has a completely different menu and atmosphere and a delightful outdoor seating area.
