Ollie's fibbing just a bit here. Gate's didn't used to serve burnt ends. Burnt ends used to be what you picked up for free off the slicer at AB's. But now, through the miracle of mass media, KC has become know as the home of burnt ends. So Ollie, ever the astute businessman, added them to his menu.
