Who eats them, who sells them??
I was thinking about doing Poutine. Going to experiment with the croud that I'm feeding these days.
My wholesaler only carries frozen breaded stuff, no fresh.
Found a place online, but the shipping is more than the product.

They are very prevalent in Wisconsin and Minnesota.  I have purchased them very often when I visited the area.  Sorta tasty with the evening beverage.

Unfortunately that might be the case with most places that ship as fresh curds are actually pretty inexpensive.  I went to my local cheese store's website and a $6 package of curds costs $35 to ship to Washington...

I know Oregon has a cheese industry...are curds available there?

Tilamook has them, but does not ship...... Might have to take a drive down there to get them.

Chef, Rogue Creamery has wonderful cheddar ones, only available at the factory.
But they are small enough and you are close enough you might give them a call.

Curds may be harder to find than economically viable.  I use a home-made cheese sauce and/or a nice roast beef gravy.  A combo of both is most worthy; especially when the fries are steaming and fresh from the fryer.
