Claussen makes a pretty good relish in a squeeze bottle dispenser and Sam's Club serves relish for their $1.50 Hot Dog from a dispenser with a turn crank handle on it. I hate those small, hard to open packets that only give you a runny squirt of non-discript relish. Are You listening Mrs Teresa Heinz-Kerry???

Somehow during my Pittsburgh upbringing I came to love hamburgers topped only by sweet pickle relish. Later, I discovered Heinz "(red) Hamburger Relish". Wonderful stuff, but I can't find it anywhere. In fact, I don't think they make it anymore. The last time i saw it on a grocery shelf was over 10 years ago at Giant Eagle in New Castle, PA. After moving to Texas I discovered this FANTASTIC stuff as a solo burger topping but soon after I had become addicted to it the Texas supermarkets stopped carrying it : http://www.mezzetta.com/product/10106570.html?Search=relish Presently, my solo burger topping of choice is Bennett's Chili Sauce, or if unavailable, Heinz Chili Sauce.

This thread got me lusting for some Bennett's Chili Sauce. Found it at Market Street here in McKinney!

They redesigned ketchup packets awhile back, why can't they do the same for relish?

<"(red) Hamburger Relish". Wonderful stuff, but I can't find it anywhere> There used to be sort of a "Red Hamburger relish belt" that ran roughly along US Rt 46 in Northern New Jersey. There were several Hamburger places along about a 40 mile stretch and they all had their own red relish. They were noted for that. One by one they all closed over the last 20 years. I don't think any of them are left anymore, but I still see commercial red relishes in supermarkets up that way. Not sure how that helps you down in Texas, but I thought I'd mention it. Hey, my wife's in Texas right now visiting her sister, and she told me last night they were taking a Day Trip to McKinney today. If I had only known...

Thanks. I just spoke to her. Ironically they wound up eating at Grimaldi's in Allen. I say ironically because we've made 2 or 3 attempts to eat at the original in Brooklyn but there was always too long a line, so she took the opportunity to try it in Texas. She gave it a great review. PS: We are now way off topic, but we do love McKinney, I've been there with her a couple of times.
