Thanks for the great photos Boop. And the food looks terrific! Sylvan Park is a favorite of mine, too.

Look like the white beans were served over pieces of crumbled cornbread. Be still my heart!

You don't mention bread. The last time I was at Sylvan Park (many years ago, when I was in Law School at Vanderbilt), they offered a choice of corn muffins or biscuits, or you could have one of each. Is that still the case? Always loved the cream pies there, and the fried chicken (whole pieces then, not strips), and the vegetables.

Always loved the cream pies there, and the fried chicken (whole pieces then, not strips), and the vegetables. Oh my goodness, I did leave that out! How could I have failed to mention the cornbread?! They offered a choice of roll or cornbread, Christian chose the roll (which he gobbled down quickly) and John & I chose the cornbread. I have to say, we both agreed that was some of the best cornbread we had ever eaten! We were there on Friday night and the Fried Chicken wasn't offered. I saw it listed on most of the other nights and we definitely want to go back and try it.
