I can't believe that they left Arlington's Metro 29 Diner off the list.

We had breakfast at Extra Perks (#8) last summer and thought it was fantastic. The corned beef hash was first rate.

Apparently the post never went to a Waffle House.  I know of one on VA234 in Dumfries, VA and there a couple at different exits of I95 (exit 109) north of Baltimore.  Sadly, Waffle House is basically a southern chain and can be found near I95 & I81 south of DC.  Good place to eat.  'Fast food', made to order, price is good, service good.
