Does it count if you've eaten it in the US, or does it have to be in its country of origin? Trust me, I completely understand that more often than not the US version of something is not remotely like it would be. But I do tend to trust some sources to give me authentic food.

If eating in the US counts, I've had the pleasure of eating 37 things from the list. If it doesn't, then that number goes down to a very sad 16. But I do think sushi in Hawaii should count as sushi in Japan.

I'm with Lisa on the Fois Gras.

I bought a jar of Marmite to give it a try many months ago.  It still has that virgin layer on the top.

One of these days.

Right animal, wrong state:  Eastern Carolina Minced Whole Hog 'Cue is most likely what they meant.

With bacon missing, meaningless list.

That's another list, the 50 best foods in the Universe.  Bacon is in spots 1 through 50.

This list lost all credibility with me with Texas BBQ Pork.

It seems to have been assembled in a meeting of NYC residents whose primary qualification was having watched Anthony Bourdain's various shows on the Travel Channel.  They had to throw in something from Texas, so they threw up "pork" and somehow it "stuck".

Nevertheless, out of sheer curiosity I'm going to check the menus of our local Thai restaurants and see if any serve Massaman curry.
