 I used to live in the area, but that was a while ago. I'm looking for good food in the Crofton, Severna Park, Annapolis area. I want good family fare - not the high dollar stuff. Thanks!

  I would say Jeno's Steaks on B&A Blvd,downtown Severna Park. By far the best cheesesteaks in Maryland.
  Annapolis used to have a great place called Freds Tiffany Room,but it closed a few years back.Now the city just seems to get more expensive and touristy.There are still some good places like Lewnes Steak House but the prices are high.

I've had several outstanding meals at Galway Bay in Annapolis.  Best corned beef dinner  I"ve ever had, anywhere.

Truer words were never written.  They made the best crabcakes I ever ate. 
 
Fortunately, the close second-best are still available not all that far away in Linthicum, MD at G&M ( http://gandmcrabcakes.com/ ) and are also available online.

Chris' Charcoal Pit on West Street has always been very good.
 
+1 for either (or both) Galway Bay and Chick & Ruth's, both of which are very close to the city dock area.  If your belly's too full from Chick & Ruth's you can sleep it off upstairs in the Scottlar Inn.

Hellas Restaurant in Millersville, MD - had one of the best crab cake sandwiches there
