Maruca's Pizza Branches?? - Mon, 05/7/12 6:43 PM
Does anyone know whether any of the franchised locations for Maruca's Pizza (Seaside NJ) are still open? Seems they opened several of them about 5 years ago, but I haven't heard a word about them in the past few years. Not much evidence on the web either, just a bare-bones website for the original location.
I only got to one, in Easton PA. It was OK, but the only resemblance to the original was the spiral sauce pattern on the pie. Other than that it was pretty lame.

The Eas5ton one closed within one or two years of opening. I agree with you that the quality was subpar.

I got to the one in Hermasossa FL and while my pizza was in the oven, the power went out in the shop.  Store was in a strip mall and this was the only place without power.  I assume the owner didn't pay the bill.  I know that location didn't last too long.

Marucas is quite simply the best pizza anywhere- its a shame they went into franchising just as the bush collapse began ...also though I have always wondered about the role that water and salt air may play in the pizza there-I would travel 50 milews for a pizza even remotely like marucas1
