Hershey is pretty touristy, as you might expect. Two interesting suiggestions in nearby Harrisburg. The Jackson House (open for lunch only) has outstanding burgers and hoagies. On North 6th. Subway Cafe on Herr Street is an Old School italian bar with good red-sauce items and very good tavern pizza. Jackson house gets very crowded and there is often a wait, probably not good if you have small kids.

...or you could go to near by Amish country and visit that beautiful area...great for kids and adults. Many posts on this site talk of things to do there and great places to eat!
