Was channel surfing and found this program on the public TV station.  It was pretty interesting, not sure how many have been talked about @ Roadfood.

Wisconsin Supper Clubs:An Old Fashion Tradition

The movie has a link, but the site won't let me post it.

I love supper clubs. No matter where we go, whether in Wisconsin or out, I search them out.

A couple of supper clubs to the west have shown up on my radar recently and I'm hoping to visit them sometime, but they're more than 90 minutes away.

Looks like the next airing is this coming Sunday at 5pm...guess I'll be firing up the ol' Betamax!

Hi there piney.  Hey, we discovered a great place in your town that you surely must be familiar with...that little old Hansen IGA grocery store.  Their little bitty hot bar is terrific, the best fried chicken we've found around here, plus their hamburger items, meatballs, etc., are excellent too.  Their hamburgers, when they have them, are about the size of a tennis ball, and the strombolis on Tuesday are really loaded with meat.  But the best part is that little bakery, where the customer can see all the ovens, and those ladies pull out some of the best bread and rolls around.  We think those products are actually better than we'll find at Linda's bakery, which is also excellent.

Yep, Toby's is still around.  I need to get up there one of these days.

Many memories of supper clubs around Hayward, haven't been in years. Loved those relish trays!
