www.myezfoodorder.com Great software for controlling food costs. Call Jim Lange @ 888-610-3025 and he will conduct a live demo for you. You must order at least 2-3000 per week in food and disposables to make this software work for you though.

You didn't say what your were trying to cost, inventory or serving cost. A $2 calculator & excel spread sheet would be your best without more info of what you need to do. For serving/portion costing, many free recipe programs can do this if you enter ingredient cost correctly. Many inventory cost control programs also require a link to the order system & cash register to produce and 'end of day' usage report and restock report. These are not cheap and require a computer/cash register system. ... On a Truck, you should be able to do this without an expensive computer system. Just look at the your racks to see what was used up. So for a truck, an excel sheet would be the best for an inventory & check list to track current pricing and to produce an order sheet for supplies. This can easily track daily, weekly, and monthly usage & cost of food stuff & supplies.

a calculator, why spend more $ on worthless software when you can create your own custom calculator in Excel. Chef's answer was as real as it gets.

And if you don't have, or want to buy Excel, you can download Open Office for free.

jcheese And if you don't have, or want to buy Excel, you can download Open Office for free. Openoffice.org has become a bit unreliable. Consider the forks Lotus Symphony or Libre Office instead. Bart
