Sorbet + Wine

Since I recently posted about my rum + raisin ice cream topping, today I invented something else. I poured a bit of wine over sorbet. Yum!
What I had was pear-ginger sorbet and I poured chardonnay. It was good. The I got to thinking about other combos, like maybe lemon sorbet with either white or read wine, or even sherry. I know they sell some of these in the supermarket, but I think to make my own.
Has anyone made any combos?

why not bring the idea the step further make a sorbet based on wine?

A frozen refreshment would be nice these days. It is at least 250 degrees here for the past few days. Snif snif.

I will try a red Sangria sorbet in the Donvier. Red Sangria otherwise...and I'm off to the races...for some strange reason.

Sure!! Have a big party!!!

I found an ice wine sorbet recipe...but I love ice wine as is. Maybe after a glass of red wine all bets are off.

At least it is getting a little cooler. I wanted to hug the frozen cylinder yesterday...and cry.
