Take another look at my post #125 on p.5 Black Tennis shoes with white laces and the Keds seal on this young man !
I have always been such a fashion Plate ~!!
Many of the comments on shades in the coolers and sales time and day limits are in reference to 'Blue Laws'
that are still in force in many areas of the country. No Alcohol on Sunday (IN) or before noon on Sunday(KY) is common here in Kentuciana . No sales between 2 AM and 6 AM is common.
Genuine Tent Revivals are still found in this area...Traveling Preacher with a Tent, Some Music, and a Van full of family/followers borrows a pasture from a farmer or settles in for a week at a local rural church and operates somewhat like an old fair or carnival, Only they do their style religious service instead of the usual carnival stuff. Plenty of local support in the way of food and time together for social interaction, Plus a lot of religion. We even have had some of the "Snake Services" at one group's gathering. Interesting, but not my style, I'm a bit too tame for the exotic action of many of the tent-goers.
